Programs at New Freedom Farm

We offer a variety of programs at New Freedom Farm and also work with a variety of networks and initiatives.

Veteran Networks and Initiatives

New Freedom Farm is affiliated with local VFWs, American Legions, Rolling Thunder, Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association, and the Veteran’s Council for Roanoke Valley and Lynchburg.

We have teamed with the Botetourt County Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office to provide a safe and calming environment where they can meet with victims of violent crime outside of an intimidating office setting.

We have partnered with Angels of Assisi and the Humane Society of the United States in the Pets for Vets program.

New Freedom Farm also welcomes local court ordered community service individuals who often benefit from their experiences here at New Freedom Farm.

Wild Mustangs – our Wild Mustang Program pairs a veteran with a wild mustang for training and gentling.

Substance Abuse Support – we host weekly 12 step/support meetings in the serenity of the farm.

Color Guard – our Color Guard performs at many of the events we have at the farm, as well as performs at other local events when asked.

Community Service – we offer community service programs for those who are court ordered to complete service. We hope that by completing your community service here, you will have a good experience and continue coming back to volunteer even after your community service is over.

New Freedom Farm is a federally registered 501c3 organization dedicated to helping veterans. We rely on donations to continue our work. Please consider making a donation to help us continue to work with vets and their families and help our farm grow.
